Holistic Medicine Cabinet
Frankincense & Tea Tree Oil: The first aid kit of oils. Great to rub topically to clean any cuts, scrapes or burns. You can also use Frankincense as a mouth wash to help with toothaches as well.
Peppermint & Balance Blend: Used for nausea, motion sickness or headache. Rub a few drops on your abdomen, temples (careful with your eyes, peppermint can be strong), or smell directly from the bottles.
Digest Zen Blend: Great for bloating, upset stomach and constipation. Rub a few drops on abdomen at night and you will have to go #2 in the morning. You can also ingest this oil, (2 drops in 8 oz of water) for a faster result.
Breathe Blend: Essential if you are visiting a climate that is very different from where you live. Rub a few drops on chest area especially if you are visiting climates like the desert, mountains or cold weather.
Serenity and Peace Blend: These blends are helpful if you suffer from anxiety or trouble relaxing. Rub these oils on neck or arms, or smell them directly and take slow, deep breaths. This will also help you sleep if you have trouble falling asleep in a bed you are not used to.
On Guard Hand Sanitizer: Having access to wash your hands when traveling can be a challenge. Keeping this handy in your carry on is important.
Peace Juice: This product is from Organic Olivia’s website. It is an herbal tincture that helps you feel relaxed and relieve anxiety. I have a fear of flying so 5-7 sprays directly on my tongue helps me relax and enjoy the flight. Make sure you know how this will affect you before trying it out in public because it can produce drowsy side effects to certain users.
Probiotics: Find a brand that you prefer, I found the “Renew Life” brand from my grocery store to work pretty well for me. Take a capsule at night so that it is uninterrupted from any food. It will help with a common case of Traveler’s Diarrhea. When you’re in a new setting and trying different foods and drinks it can definitely happen so be prepared and give your gut the good stuff. You don’t want to take medications like Pepto Bismol or other OTC medications that only make the situation worse.
Benadryl: I always recommend talking Benadryl and keeping it handy just in case you feel an allergic reaction coming on. You don’t want to be in a foreign place trying to find this medication or paying a visit to their hospital for something that could have been treated easily.
Hair & Skin Care Products
Shampoo and Conditioner: I have been using the Monat brand shampoo and conditioner for over a month now and it is doing wonders to my hair. I have healthier hair, decreased frizz and split ends so it is very low maintenance. I could not vacation without it. I bought empty travel size bottles on amazon that were 3 ounces and filled them up. I use the Renew Shampoo with the Smoothing Conditioner and it has done wonders. My husband also uses the Monat Black Shampoo and Conditioner combination. Click here to purchase products.
Face Toner: I put witch hazel and 5 drops of tea tree essential oil into a 3 ounce spray bottle. It helps to prevent and treat acne and reduce the look of pores.
Body Wash: Method Body wash now has a travel size option and it is only a score of 4 on the “think dirty” app which means it is free of harmful chemicals. I will also use this as face wash for vacation so I don’t have to pack so many items, and it is harder to find natural travel size face washes.
Rejuvenique Oil: This is an oil blend with so many uses. I personally use it to moisturize my face and the ends of my hair. And it also works great to soothe a sunburn.
Sunscreen: I have a very easy sunscreen recipe click here to make it. Carrot seed and raspberry seed oil. That’s it, only 2 ingredients!
Vegan Cosmetics: I do not wear much make up but when I like to dress up for certain occasions I like to use vegan and cruelty free make up. I use the “Dose Cosmetics” for lip gloss, Kat Von D Concealer and eyeliner, and E.L.F clear mascara and eyebrow gel combo.

*** If you are traveling by air, TSA only allows you to take liquids less than 3.4 ounces. Make sure to be mindful of this or they will make you throw it out.
** Helpful Tip: Make sure to take a pen with you if flying internationally because airlines will make you fill out a customs and immigration form and they do not provide pens for you.
~ Hope you found this helpful and may you have happy and safe travels.
